Just me, I play piano, guitar and ukulele.
What does your band name mean?
It’s just my name!
What genre do you consider yourself? Why?
I don’t know, I’m still learning and might change, but I guess something alternative, maybe bedroom pop.
What drew you to music?
I’ve been writing all my life, not songs but stories. Then I started writing little poems and finally songs. It’s just my way to cope with my feelings and thoughts. I overthink everything.
What are some of your most influential bands? Why?
Amy Winehouse has always been an influence for me, I love everything about her. I get inspired by a lot of different sounds, I would listen to some Alternative-Pop like Lorde or Lana del Rey, but also love R&B like Frank Ocean or SZA. I also like bands like Tame Impala. I like Lauryn Hill so much too. I find really inspiring Spanish flamenco, I love Lole y Manuel.
I guess I listen to a lot of pop.
What was your first song?
I don’t remember the first song i wrote; the first serious song i put out is called “sangrĂa”.
What is your song writing process?
It depends a lot, sometimes I would just start writing the first words that come to my mind and others I would be thinking lyrics in my head for some days and then just write everything.
How has your music evolved since you began playing?
I have learnt a lot about songwriting; I am able to express myself so much better now. I’m still learning about production, but I think I’m getting closer to the sound I want to have.
Is there a secret meaning in any of your music?
Sometimes I would add little personal details to some songs that nobody knows. Everything I write about has a clear concept on my mind. I don’t know if I get to fully express that.
How old were you when you started playing your instrument?
I was 12 when I started playing piano and like 14 when I got into guitar. I used to play the clarinet before but I stopped.
Where have you performed?
I have never performed live.
How do you feel about the internet and the music business?
I feel like the internet is changing everything in the music business. Now it’s so much easier to connect with people worldwide and maybe music labels are not that important anymore.
What is your favorite concert you’ve attended?
I loved Lorde.
What do you do besides music?
I study Psychology at uni.
What do you wish you spent more time doing 5 years ago?
Focusing more on myself and finding out about what I liked before I actually did.
